Special Outreach in Ground-Breaking Recruitment Effort to Fill 100 Full-Time Positions with Local Food Distributor

Job fair scheduled for November 5th from 12pm-4pm

Seattle, WA – November 3, 2015 – Just in time for the holidays, Taylor Farms announces the creation of 100 new full time positions in their Kent, WA, facility in a variety of capacities including Production Workers, Dishwashers, Sanitation Leads and Supervisors. Compensation ranges from $9.50+ per hour for entry level positions to $50,000+ per year in supervisor salary based on qualifications. All full time employees are offered a full benefits package

“The Northwest is such a diverse region and our employees were born in Vietnam, Mexico, China, The Philippines and other parts of the globe” said Darnell Woods, Human Resources Manager at Taylor Farms’ Kent facility. “This company celebrates the contributions of our multicultural workforce and looks forward to providing even more opportunities for people of all backgrounds. If you are reliable and motivated to do good work, we want you to become a part of our team.” This announcement comes at a time when many local companies are cutting back on staffing as automation replaces the human element. Instead, Taylor Farms NW is growing and looking to fill dozens of new jobs immediately.

To apply, interested applicants are encouraged to call the local Taylor Farms Job Hot Line at 206-432-3444 or complete an application in person at Taylor Farms NW, 8030 S. 228th St., Bldg. A, Kent, WA 98032. In an effort to staff these positions as quickly as possible, a Job Fair is being held on Thursday, November 5th from 12pm-4pm at the Kent facility. Valid Photo ID and proof of legal residency in U.S. is required. Applicants are also encouraged to bring a resume or details on any past work experience. Food handling experience is a plus.

For the first time ever, Taylor Farms NW is launching a local recruitment campaign including digital and social media targeted at new immigrant communities as well as ethnic media and multicultural marketing and has retained the services of IMD to assist in outreach to local media and communities of color. Additional media access and story ideas available upon request including employee interviews, photo opportunities, on-site video production and live shoots.
